Shop Time with Dad: Forklift Progress & Dump Truck Fuel Tank Changeout
Share
Another weekend, another round of shop projects. This time, the forklift got some much-needed attention, and my dad continued his work on the dump truck (which, by the way, is not for sale—he’s made that very clear!).
For the forklift, I installed a new seat, rewired the safety switch, and gave the engine cover a fresh coat of Clark’s signature yellow-green paint. The new left-hand shifter is in place, and I spent a good chunk of time sanding down the body to prep for the big paint job. It’s amazing how much better these machines start to look with just a little work.
Meanwhile, my dad was busy getting the fuel tank installed on the dump truck, making steady progress on his end. No matter what we’re working on, there’s always something to fix, improve, or restore.
It’s been great to bring this forklift back to life piece by piece, and I’m looking forward to the next set of upgrades. Always something to tinker with in the shop!
